Actions in a phase are resolved taxis by taxis sweeping along the battle line, alternating between players.

How it works

Rolls and actions are resolved in order from one end of the board to the other along the axis between armies. The precedence player starts with one taxis (usually the rightmost); it and any automatic enemy reaction are resolved, then the opponent resolves his next taxis in that direction (if it has not already reacted), and so on alternately.

One player does not complete all his activities during a phase, and then the other player complete theirs, they alternate between each other.
