Deck attrition clock

A player's action deck shrinks permanently over the game (e.g. cards removed on each reshuffle), and exhausting it causes defeat, so the deck functions as the force's endurance and a game-length clock.

Reshuffling Penalty / running out of cardsLongstreet Lite

Each reshuffle permanently removes six unseen cards, and a player who runs out of cards loses.

How it works

At turn start the active player may (or must, if his deck is empty) reshuffle discards into the deck, then deals the top six cards out of the game unseen. A player loses at the moment he has no cards in hand, deck or discard pile, or if he passes with no cards in deck or discards.

Each time he reshuffles and creates a new action deck, the player must then deal the top six cards from that deck and - without looking at them - remove them from the game.
